Last week was very busy. It started a week ago, last Wed, when my friend, a pastor and bishop from Archangelsk, Sergey Latyshev arrived to the Murmansk Airport. I picked him there and we went to Polarny, where we had a men’s group in the evening.
It was fantastic. One of the guys came to Christ that evening.
On Thursday we did much preparation work before the conference, spent much time on the phone. Friday early in the morning we started to Olenegorsk (160 km). In Murmansk we picked our chef with his assistant, and we loaded the car with the food for all the men coming to the conference. The road was difficult, but we made it safely.
The conference started at 7 pm, we opened it with very powerful worship. After the opening part (at 9.30 pm), we had some food and much fellowship. Some conversations ended only about 4 am.
There were about 90 men. Sat at 10 am we started the second part. A worship band from saint Petersburg led worship, and the pastor from Harvest Church, Saint Petersburg, Igor Sokolov, taught about the man and his church. Very powerful message.
After the lunch break was my part. I taught about the man and his friends, friendship as it should be. And the conference was closed by a short message by Sergey Latyshev, after almost 2 hours of worship.
I was exhausted, but happy. I’m still sleepy, because I just didn’t sleep those days.
Sunday morning we went to the Navy and had a meeting there, in the afternoon Sergey led sermon in the church in Murmansk.
Monday very early in the morning we went to Severomorsk to a bigger Naval unit and had a meeting on board of one of the ships. It was awesome! The Navy guys were interested, very much engaged in the conversation. It was a great time! Sergey flew home later in the Monday afternoon.
More news soon!
