Hei – Hi – Oj,
It has been almost six weeks since i have got here in Norway! Yeah, i know a bit to late, but i promise i will try to update y’all more.
So far it has been wonderful and blessed experience! Maybe you wonder what is so wonderful being far a way from your own bed, food, house, family, friends, church, surrounding, in one word being out from your comfort zone?!
But that is the place where actually magic is happening!!! Being a way from everything you used to know gives a special taste to your living! As every meal needs a bit of spice to taste good, this is the spice to add a bit flavoring that is needed to taste better!
Entering a new bubble where all the magic is starting it can be scary and intimidating, but if you manage to see the picture beyond the things that are standing in front of you, that is where your fears disappears, and you can see magic that is about to happened!
What is the magic that is happening right now, right here?!
I feel so privilege to be part of this program! I have the opportunity to share life with several different cultures, backgrounds, languages, traditions, habits, ways of living and all of that in totally different environment of what I used to know. And yet we all find a unity in things we do!
Interesting thing is that no matter how different we are by the things that are defining us, we are facing some same fears, struggles, but most beautiful thing in all of that is that we can be able to help each other, to encourage each other, pray for each other.
The scripture that has been on my mind since i came here is from Colossians 3:11-17
“Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
It just reminds me that doesn’t matter where are you from, or what color your skin is, or what language you speak it is all about Him, and His love is what binds us in perfect unity. Thinking that without Lord being present here, it would be such a mess, but because of Him who lives in us, we are able to respect and love each other with His non-understandable love, that makes everything better!
Speaking of love, i have to say that i have been super blessed by the girls that I am sharing room with! After such a short time period I have got an amazing act of love from them!
I loved it so much, coz it remind me on the promise that Lord give. That He will take care of everything we need. He will provide for us! He provide friends for me, love, care and blessing at this moment.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19
Once again Lord is proving Himself to me and who He is!
Will be writing more soon! This will be all for now! In two weeks i will be leaving this place and go to Brazil where are going to new exciting challenges that I will write more about.
